The day my unplanning built

Because I gave up my day our day unfolded in an amazing way....sadly none of the pictures that I took of our plantation tour and walk through an Arcadian village set up on the most incredible river or the old Village that is run entirely by developmentally delayed adults in the Layfaette community..or the muffelleta sandwiches or the university of Louisiana or the way the sun sets the swamps a glow or the most interesting series if bridges or Spanish Moss Dripping from antique oak trees or this tiny furn that is called resurrection fern....but what we did get was a picture of our fantastic dinner of Red beans and rice and ALLIGATOR.....that we ate this while listening to cajun music....Harley loved it so much he made me but the CD

Hello look what happens when we let go

  1. WOW food looks great. Plans are made to be changed?? Looks like pretty bad rain storm here tonight. I LOVE storms, lucky I live in Florida I guess. I sit on the porch and try to stay dry, even during hurricanes, unless the husband makes me come in!! Have fun, see you soon.

  2. Someone once told me that "The best Plan to have is to Plan to keep Planning" to which I said: WHAT!?, say that again?
Say have you seen any Shoneys along the way???
    Just wondering...

  3. So sad about he photos, just checked in and was so disappointed that there was no new news. I really look forward to your updates...even if they are photo-less. Have you hit New Orleans yet?? You must be there by now. Looking forward to seeing mom in mardi gras beads. Sounds like you have already enjoyed many of the food choices for new orleans.......you still need a Po boy sandwich.
Shoney's is sort of like a soup plantation or home town buffet BUT all the vegetables are battered and deep fried......at least that is what I remember from my trip to tennessee ....... hard to find a lightly sauted or steamed veggie anywhere in the south.
    enjoying the journey vicariously.
